Year End Giving 2024

Jayson Byrd   -

LCC Friends & Family,

As this year winds to a close, I wanted to send a note to look back on what God has done in 2024 and encourage you to be part of what is happening at LCC.

These are directly related to the investment that our people have made in the mission, so you’ve got a big part in this.

  • By God’s grace, we’ve seen God answer our prayer for “slow growth” in attendance with regular visitors at our services.
  • VBS last summer was one of the most attended since my time here at LCC, with many families from our community connecting.
  • Student Ministries (Olympians & Youth Group) have been faithful on Wednesday nights, with many new younger members serving and growing into youth leaders.
  • We’ve had some wonderful outreach activities. One particular highlight was seeing our gym full of teenagers excited about a “Nerf War” during our Heart Conference week.
  • Our music ministry improved, expanded, and deepened. They’re continuing to focus on leading us in theologically rich, doctrinally sound songs to sing as a congregation.
  • Many of our support and outreach ministries have been faithfully keeping on, keeping on. Ministries like GriefShare, Handi*Vangelism, the Atlantic City Rescue Mission service, Hope Pregnancy Center, and others.
  • Our deacons and deaconesses have been able to provide help and care for many within and without our congregation.
  • So far, in 2024, we’ve had 8 identify with Christ in Believer’s Baptism and welcomed 12 new members.
  • We’ve been encouraged by several young families added to our congregation and are excited to have several babies in the nursery once again.

These programs and metrics are nice, but they are simply tools and trellises for the real work that God has called us to, the commission Jesus gave us of Making and Maturing Disciples. I’m thankful that God is using our ministry to impact many people!

Thank you for being a part of what God is doing through our church. Your giving to our ministry this year has made all the difference! As we come into these last few weeks of 2024, we need your help! Would you be willing to give some year-end donations toward the mission of our church? This world is not our home; we are pilgrims passing through. Jesus promised to build His Church. He has not returned yet, so He is still in the process of building it. We can be a part of that by supporting the worship and work of our local church. We rely on faithful giving from people like you, and your gift today would help us lessen our budget shortfall and start next year off strong.

Thank you for your generosity. It truly means a lot to us, and we know the best is yet to come!

Pastor Jayson

P.S. All gifts given to our church, whether given online or dropped in the mail before the end of December 31st, are 100% tax-deductible for 2024.
